February 7–19, 2025 | Montreal, Quebec
The Slashing Pumpkins have just returned from their first-ever North American tour — and what a ride it was! We landed in Montreal on February 7th, planning to return on the 17th, but thanks to some serioussnowstorms, we didn’t make it home until the 19th.
The trip was built around the NHL 4 Nations tournament — and we did it right:
We watched all four games live at the Bell Centre, soaking in the electric atmosphere from some of the best seats in the house. One game we caught from the iconic La Cage sports bar under the rink — an absolute classic Montreal experience.
But it wasn’t just about spectating — we came to play.
The Pumpkins laced up for four games against local teams, including:
- An incredible evening under a full moon at a stunning outdoor arena, hosted by The North Team — a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many of us.
- A hard-fought battle against a team of Montreal firemen, who had just come off a 24-hour shift (we didwin that one, for the record).
- A wild and memorable skate through a 15km forest trail, where players and their families from Ireland, Spain, England, Germany, Canada, and Lithuania all cruised together between the trees — a truly special moment.
And one of the absolute highlights?
We played a team of Montreal old-timers — including two ex-NHL players and a current NHL referee. Among them were Lucien Deblois, a Stanley Cup champion, and Norm Dupont, who played nearly 300 NHL games.
To top it off, The Boss was presented with a replica Stanley Cup winners’ medal — a copy of Guy Lafleur’s 1979 ring. An unforgettable moment for the team and a huge honour.
This tour was a massive success, and the next one’s already being planned:
